Sunday afternoon saw the Egg Chasing Lions beat the 19th Hole Marauders to claim the Annual T20 Title for 2015.

An entertaining afternoon on a Sunny Bank Holiday Sunday saw the Egg Chasing Lions and the 19th Hole Marauders do battle for the clubs Annual Twenty 20 Cricket Title.

There were some fantastic skills on show, Englands Ashes Winning Squad will definitely be quaking in their boots following some of Sundays Performances.

Andy Tate, 19th Hole Marauders Captain, won the toss and chose to field first. The lions lost early wickets, two falling in the opening over, Matt Platts for 0 and Danny Bell for 1. Liam Weston (18) and Sam Parker (13) then settled the batting order with a great partnership, with Ash Hughes then coming in to top score for the Lions with a 25, before retiring.

Some questionable bowling skills were on show, as the Marauders gave up 36 extras, Andy Morley taking the credit for the most entertaining bowling technique. The Lions Finishing on 116 for 6.

Opening Batsman, Dave Gale put on a man of the match display with the bat for the Marauders, scoring a respectable 16, before being caught out. Andy Tate top scored with a 25 before retiring.

The lions bowling skills were also very questionable, giving up 23 extras. Martyn Gammons leading the way with some tricky loopers. The Marauders batted out their overs finishing on 81, giving the Lions a 25 run victory.

Later in the day the Marauders clawed back a bit of pride, with their drinking team winning the boat race and resident 'Know it All', Steve Hughes, winning the Quiz.

After picking up their trophy, Egg Chasing Lions Captain, Olly Dixon said 'We played really well today and the Golfers just couldn't keep up with us. After all we are #LionsNotLambs!!!'.
