Exciting times ahead...

Members of the management committee have been working tirelessly on the Club's behalf since the Club moved to Westfield, to try and secure a pitch back in Rotherham which we can all call home. Until the negotiations are finalised with our partners and funding providers the Club are not in a position to fully disclose detailed information, however, for those of you that don't regularly pass Aurora, please see the photos of progress on the site (also in the News section). We will continue to provide you with updates as they occur.

We have agreed to put £30,000 from our pitch fund into the scheme as agreed at our EGM last year and our involvement in the project has helped secure in the region of 50% of the aprox. £500,000 cost of the project.

This is an extremely exciting time for all Club members but is one which requires the full membership to commit towards in order to make our pending move back to Aurora a success. With the AGM imminent now is the time to begin considering what time or skill and commitment you can offer the Club and which role may suit you, of which there are many. Details of Club roles will be soon be available on the website, but if you want to enquire about these prior to this please contact a member of the management committee.

In the meantime the management committee has recently formed a sub-committee to look at and plan for the logistics and financial aspects of this venture. Part of this includes looking for volunteers to form a panel to plan the ‘opening event’ at the new pitch in readiness for the 17/18 season. It is vital that all sections of the Club are represented on this panel for this exciting opportunity; men's, ladies, youth/parents, VP's so please come forward. With this year being the Club's 90th anniversary this needs to be an event to remember.

If you would like more information or if this is something you think you would be well suited to please contact James Thomas and Pete Hucknall, details below by Friday 5th May.
