Rotherham Hockey Club is pleased to confirm that we have been awarded some funding from Sport England through South Yorkshire Sport and with England Hockey's support to develop a 'satellite club' in Rotherham.

The Rotherham Hockey Club - Wickersley Hub has been set up at Wickersley School and Sports College where we will coach hockey on the astroturf pitch on Monday evenings from 7pm to 8pm to anyone interested from age 11 upwards.

The activity is a three year project aimed to introduce the sport to new players, enhance the skills of existing players and provide a coaching environment from which those interested could move on to Club Hockey. It is open to participants from all schools.

Welsh International player Danny Berry has been appointed by the club as Lead Coach for this project which starts on 29th September. The cost is £2 a session but the first session is free.
