Dan started his rugby in the midlands, playing social rugby with Rolls Royce and Derby before being spotted by Northampton where he was signed to play professional rugby. Since then he has played his rugby in the Premiership and the Championship at Rotherham and Worcester Warriors before being signed last season by Yorkshire Carnegie.
Dan is really looking forward to meeting the players and cracking on with pre season training. He said “It’s great to be coaching a club like Roundhegians, which is similar to the sort of clubs I first played rugby at. I’m looking forward to getting started and helping the club in any way I can”. Dan has benefitted from playing alongside a number of high quality players and coaches and he is confident that he can use this experience to help develop players so that the team improves next season.
Hegians have finished fifth in Yorkshire 2 for the last two seasons and the club is really excited about this new development. We are confident that the club can do well next season and the players are really enthusiastic about working with a coach like Dan who has played at such a high level.
Pre-season training starts for the new season on Tuesday 18th July and takes place at the club every Tuesday and Thursday, from 7.00pm to 8.30pm.
