Roundhegians held their place at the top but has their work cut out to register a 16-6 win at Thornensians.
Thorne had turned round 6-3 ahead thanks to two penalties by stand-off Ollie Cox to one from scrum half Alex Jones.
Roundhegians took the lead with a try by back row forward Kylie Sutcliffe, converted by Jones, but they led only 10-6 until second-row DAVE Cowling touched down in the last 5 minutes, Jones converting.
