Rugeley Rugby Club Held a Family Race Night at St Joseph’s Church Club on Friday Evening to raise money for their redevelopment project at St Augustine’s.
The Evening was well supported by friends and families of the Rugby Club and over 85 people were there.
The races were great fun to watch and all of the crowd got well involved, enjoying the atmosphere of the thrill of the chase.
The race organisers were a professional concern and without doubt contributors to the atmosphere of the whole evening.
A raffle was collected making £83.00 and a wide selection of the crowd managed to take advantage of the selection of prizes on offer.
Also Tom wood England International signed an England shirt and this was Auctioned to the highest bidder, this being Jamie Frazer after bidding £90.00 for the shirt.
The last race of the evening was sponsored by C residential of Rugeley and was an auction race, it was open to the floor and after a hard fort open auction the prize money was £130.00 on the winning horse this being won by Leone’s one armed bandits.
Overall with the money collected on the night £607.00 and all other money collected bringing a grand total of £1310.00 all towards the refurbishment of our New Club House at St Augustine’s.
