Report From MJPL Website

Olympic were buoyed by their opening day MJPL victory and soon raced into a 4-0 lead within the opening dozen minutes. Liam Buchanan opened the scoring in the first sixty seconds and BEN LAVIN added a second soon after before Rhys Webb scored the pick of the opening salvo with a fine finish with his left foot from the corner of the box.Liam Buchanan notched his second soon after.

Mickleover should be proud of their response as they started to show the football of which they are capable of and they scored a goal of their own before BEN LAVIN scored his second before the break.

The second half was much more even affair but the first goalscoring action was again down to Liam Buchanan who completed his hat trick finishing a Cooling pull back after a good run and cross by Jack Arnold.

A spell of play which saw the referee have to take remedial action was completed when Mickleover scored their second of the game. Having seen the first shot cleared off the line the striker reacted in a composed fashion to make no mistake when the ball rebounded back into his path.

Rushall however completed the scoring when Kieron Nelson nodded home after sneaking round the blind side.

We’d like to thank Mickleover for the part they played in the fixture and wish them well for the rest of the season.
