2012/13 BUILDING ON SOUND FOUNDATIONS
The Under 16s for 2012/13 are made up of the Under 15s from the 2011-12 who sadly lost out on penalties in the final of their MJPL cup final at Hinckley United.
Every player from that side has signed up for the new campaign which will see the lads look to build on the solid foundations set last season and look to progress ahead of the move into Youth football next season.
Training for 2 hours on Wednesday evening at the 4G surface at Shelfield Academy under UEFA B licensed coach Chris Allen the intensity of the development programme is stepping up and building on the strong foundations laid in 2011-12.
The side will be entered once more in the Midlands Junior Premier League, a development league. Home fixtures will routinely be played at 10:30 on Saturday mornings at Shelfield Playing Fields although it is hoped that Dales Lane will be utilised whereever possible as a beneficial experience in lines with the Long Term Player Development programme. In times of anticpated bad weather fixtures may also be played on the 4G surface at Shelfield Academy.
Chris Allen will be assisted this season by his assistant Carl Furnival, development coach Ricky Powers and committee liason officer Steve Stuart.
Whilst this side cannot offer any more full development squad places there is the potential for some reserve positions attached to the squad. For further details contact rofcdevelopment@yahoo.co.uk
