Development Matters – 24th May 2012
In an attempt to improve communications across the development section we have decided to do an online newsletter, (we will still do the occasional paper one). I will apologise as I do not have everyone’s email at the moment, this will be sorted when both sides have signed up.
If you do one thing today please sign up to the clubs website, you will receive a weekly email should you want it that will send news straight to your inbox.
This season we have had 35 league games, 7 cup games, 2 cup finals, 3 new qualified coaches, 1 new qualified welfare officer, 1 FA Youth Award, 7 Referees, and 3 awards named after players and committee members from the past. Not bad eh? Well done to everyone on and off the field!
Team Sign On Nights
Under 16s Sign Up…. Last night next seasons U16 side signed to ROFC for 2012/2013, I very happy to say we have kept the same squad for next year! All players received their handbooks and signed to the club. We sign to the MJPL in August.
Under 15s Soon to Sign Up…. In a few weeks we will have a sign on night for the U15 side you will receive handbooks and sign to the club before signing to the MJPL in August.
Summer Teambuilding
Now the season has ended we are looking forward to a few activities over the summer to keep the lads together, keep in touch with everyone (other than email) and get the 2 sides as one – after all they will be in the same U18 side in a couple of years!!!
Euro 2012 - the club is open for the European Championship games (England) which we are hoping to turn into a few development nights, food will be available so come to dales lane and watch it with us.
Golf is the second sport of many premier league footballers so you had better get good at it now!!! We are running a beginners golf day over the summer and hope as many of you will attend as is possible, there will be a small cost to this but it will be as low as possible. Parents welcome.
Canoeing – You may or may not know ROFC is also the home of the Royal Sutton Canoe Club who have kindly offered to run a morning for us.
