A Josh Craddock header two minutes prior the interval were enough to give Rushall Olympic a narrow victory against their Evo-Stik League Southern Premier counterparts Redditch United at the Valley Stadium in Worcestershire.
The defining moment of the encounter came via a probing flag kick from Martyn Naylor that picked out the Pics midfielder who rose above the home defence to plant a powerful header beyond the custodian from 10 yards out.
Although Redditch had struck the visitors crossbar three minutes earlier in the aftermath of a free-kick, the second period proved to be rather devoid of goal scoring opportunities as the game ended in the favour of Olympic.
