Rushall Olympic's pre-season campaign moved on to its sixth game as the Pics were held to an entertaining 0-0 draw at home to Stourbridge.

Rushall Olympic entertained Stourbridge in their annual pre-season friendly as the old foes played out an entertaining goalless draw at Dales Lane.

The Glassboys enjoyed the best chance of the first period when five minutes prior to the interval a pacey centre from the left was met by Luke Benbow who stooped to produce a header at the near post that cannoned off the upright.

At the other end Dave Walker went closest for Olympic just after the half hour mark when his first time strike from just outside the box had to be tipped away by ‘keeper Lewis Solly at full stretch.

During the second period the visitors always looked more likely to grab a winner and with just two minutes remaining only an outstanding piece of goalkeeping from Chris Gemmell prevented them from claiming victory. After blocking out an initial effort skipper Wayne Daniel’s attempted to clear the loose ball, but the ball smacked off the back of Stourbridge substitute Sam Rock and the Pics custodian somehow tipped the ricochet just shy of his top left corner.
