Rushall Olympic are now in a position whereby we can announce the first two of our new summer signings.
We are delighted to welcome to Dales Lane, 35 year old, central defender, WAYNE DANIEL, who has many years experience in the upper echelons of non-league football. Last season Wayne skippered Evesham United in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division and picked up the Supporters Player of the Year after ending the campaign as top appearance maker. He is a vastly experienced campaigner and has also played for the likes of Nuneaton Town, Stafford Rangers, Worcester City and Kidderminster Harriers. He is a towering defender who can also weigh in with his fair share of goals as well, and we are sure that Wayne will turn out to be a tremendous signing for the club. His experience of football at this level will be invaluable for us as we look forward to our second season of Premier Division football.
Making a welcome return to Dales Lane is LEI BROWN, who rejoins the club from Studley after turning down an approach from Redditch United. This will be his third spell with the club - following a brief return last season. During his initial period with the Pics, the season before last, Lei scored the first goal in our 2-0 Play-Off Final victory over Grantham Town and during his time with the Pics he became a real fans favourite. He is an attacking midfielder who likes to get forward and can score goals.
We would like to welcome both Wayne and Lei to Dales Lane and trust that they will enjoy a long and successful stay with us.
Over the next seven to ten days we hope to be in a position to confirm further signings so please watch this space!!
Excellent news, hopefully the first of many!!! Nice to Lei back, always rated him in the middle of the park.
I was gonna make a joke about running a sweep to see how long Lei will stay with us this time around...but im not going to :D
Good luck lads may the force be with you!
