Saturday 21st July saw the completion of the installation of New pitch Fencing at Manor Park. With the help of a fantastic group of volunteers Manor Park has been transformed into a modern day rugby venue.
It was at times very challenging in very hot weather but with the guidance of ex world fencing champion Duncan Clayton the project took place over 4 weekends with over 200 posts being put into the ground special thanks must be given to him
Thanks need also be passed on to the following that supported the project with there time and energy. Tim Elliot (club president), Richard Seabrook , Guy Morgan , Alan Jackson , Brian Thurnham , Mark Wildman , Kieran Wildman, George Heyd-smith , Ivor Fender , and not forgetting Joanne Griffiths and Mick Drage for keeping the team fed and watered throughout the project. also ex Player Gus Gillick for donating the equipment and material along with Matt Howe , Rushden town council and the RFU.
With this now in place it should create the chance of raising more awareness of Rushden & Higham RUFC and hopefully more support from the surrounding areas, and Business allowing the club to grow both on and off the pitch at all levels.
