First home game of the season ends with a win against a strong Stockwood park.
The first home game for the under 16's was a hard fought game against a very strong, very physical Stockwood park. A fiery game which at times threatened to boil over as tempers flared on both sides, endeing with a score line that wasn't as one-sided as it seems. Some fantastic team tries ended by six different players showed how well prepared Rushden were and how all of our preseason work would pay off this season. As well as looking dangerous whilst attacking, Rushden also fought off several waves of dangerous attacking play from Stockwood park. A special mention to Cale at fullback who looked like he could've stopped a train had it tried to get past him. Well done to the lads, a great start.
