Ruthin Town have announced that their entire first team squad have committed to the club for next season. Manager Chris Williams said; “We had a really good second half to the season and I am anxious to ensure that we can take this momentum through to next season, I asked for their commitment after the last game and got it. The task now is for me to keep adding to the squad with quality players. I’m already talking to players and hope to get them secured as soon as we can.”
Ruthin are committed to playing local players and produce many of the first team squad themselves. Almost all of last year’s squad came through the youth system at Ruthin. Secretary Bryn Jones said; “Our aim at the start of last season was to survive and then thrive in the Huws Gray Alliance with local players. We’ve completed the first part of that ambition and credit must go to the players and to the management team.”
The club have noticed massive local interest in the club, crowds have increased and social media is buzzing with more local businesses showing an interest in sponsoring. Vice Chairman Andy Edwards, who looks after the commercial side said; “We have been getting huge hits on our website and our Facebook page and Bryn Evans is doing a great job on Twitter, it’s all good news for our sponsors. Plans to improve the ground will come to fruition over the next 12 months to comply with tier 2 requirements and it’s going to be an exciting season next season.”

Pre-season starts for all senior players on Saturday July 1st 2017 and it seems that everyone at Ruthin simply cannot wait.
