Rutland Hockey Club

There were plenty more goals in the Rutland Ladies summer hockey league in Uppingham on Wednesday, with Spalding cantering to victory over a Melton side hampered by player unavailability, and Bourne Deeping’s 1st X1 outgunning Rutland’s u16s side.

Rutland’s 1st X1 meanwhile played out an entertaining game with the previously unbeaten Market Harborough side, eventually running out 3-1 winners. Anne Pollock was amongst the goals as usual, but at the other end, new players Nic Cage and Kerry Rough both impressed.
