Rutland Hockey Club

There were plenty of goals in the first round of fixtures in our Ladies summer league on Wednesday, with Harborough winning by the odd one in five against Spalding, Bourne just edging out Melton, and the senior Rutland side coming out 3-1 winners over their younger compatriots in an entertaining game to finish.

Katie Cooil grabbed a couple of early goals as the 1st X1 started the quicker, with Charlie Crombie nicking one back for the youth side near the close after a good pass down the right from Hannah Paish set up a breakaway.
