Sad News

Dear all – I am very sad to report that Ian Wright-Watson, SWRFC’s first skipper from 1963-65, and an honorary life vice-president, died yesterday after a long illness.

In addition, it has just come to my notice that another major player in the Club’s early days, John Pollitt, passed away earlier this year. John also skippered the 1st XV and as a sports master at the County High School was a key influence in the development of local rugby at both school and club level.
