With Peterborough fielding a team of players large enough to be mistaken for fully grown men, our boys decided that a narrow game would not be our best choice. The squad set about putting in an intelligent and well executed game plan that allowed them to demonstrate some of the most beautiful rugby.
Quite simply our midfield and our back row dominated the gain line in defence, stopping any attempted rampage by the enormous Peterborough forwards at source. We turned over ball almost at will and with good attacking midfield game management, scored perfectly executed tries out wide.
Every try was a team effort with practically every player getting hands on the ball, or clearing the ruck to allow quick ball through the hands. All players involved in this fixture should be very proud of themselves both personally and also as a valued and outstanding team member.
