Walden go back to the top of the league with 2 games to go, however Ipswich have a game in hand.

Walden travelled to South Woodham Ferrers to start the run in to the end of the season.
In fine spring like conditions with a breeze blowing down the ground Walden kicked off with elements in their favour.
As they regained possession from the kick off they immediately strung a couple of good phases together and stretched the home teams defence one way and then the other. Soon they found space for right winger Dave Patch to break a tackle wide out and go over the line with only 2 mins played. Full back Tom Price stepped up and kicked a difficult conversion wide out to take the full 7 points.
This was the best period of the game by Walden and after seeing a half a chance go begging as left winger Ben Stapleton just put his foot into touch as he was through for what might have been a second try they soon forced SWF into conceding a penalty in front of the posts as they strayed off side. 10- 0 6 mins.
Walden once again made inroads into the home teams half and a break by Patch as he cut in off his wing broke through the defence and he off loaded to centre Adam Miles who used his strength to get over the line with a couple of players trying to pull him back. 17 - 0 after 9 mins.
Walden were dominant at this point and 15 mins later the forwards got into the act with several pick and goes as they got closer to the try line eventually for 2nd row Nik Baker to pick up from the base of a ruck two metres out to dive over and score in the corner. Price kicked another good conversion 24 – 0 26 mins.
At this point a combination of Walden slacking off and some good play by SWF meant that for the rest of the half the home team had the better of the visitors and eventually they were rewarded with a well worked try wide out 3 mins from the end to leave the half time score 24 – 5.
Some tough talk at half time and Walden once again soon worked their way into the home teams half and when they conceded a penalty Walden kicked to the corner and from the resulting line out they set up a driving maul and Nik Baker spun off the back to stretch out to score the bonus point try in the corner. 29- 5 45 mins.
Walden then once again went to sleep and the game was fairly even with both sides having some good passages of play and both sides suffering from a lack of continuity and much of the next 20 mins was played in the centre of the park, although Walden did have some defending to do as SWF had 3 or 4 mins inside the Walden 22 but they never really looked like breaking through.
Then Walden woke up in the last 10 mins and as they broke through the line they were stopped 1 metre out and the referee punished some cynical play by one of the SWF players as he deliberately lay on the ball to stop quick ball that would have resulted in Walden scoring their fifth and he was sent to the bin for 10 mins.
With a player advantage Walden made good use of this scoring 2 tries in the last 8 mins the first by prop Steve Mugridge as he broke through 10 metres out and rampaged towards the line to score wide out.
Then in the last minute of the game substitute prop Harry Stocking scored his first try for the 1's as he latched on to an off load by flyhalf Tom Hughes to barge his way over under the posts to leave a simple conversion by Price and final whistle blew. 41- 5.
Another good performance on paper when you look at the score 6 tries to 1 which takes Walden back to the top of the league (Ipswich have a game in hand) but all the players know that to get the 2 wins they need they will have to step up another gear. If they get 10 points out of the last 2 games then Ipswich will have to win all their 3 games including the last one at SWF late in the season and with SWF promising to be back up to full strength they may just give Ipswich a fright if the nerves kick in.
