The Men’s thirds remained undefeated (and 6 points clear at the top of the table) against Deeside Ramblers 7s yesterday despite some notable absences due to injury. Savio Martins opened the scoring by drilling the ball into the far corner from an almost impossible angle. Jack Buchanan made a run down the left wing and hammered a firm cross into the D, which was deflected into the net by a Deeside defender. The third goal was by Martin D’Cruz who demonstrated some fancy stick work and slotted the ball past the keeper in fine style. Ricky Needham (back from paternity leave!) went on to bag the next goal after dribbling along the back line, making it 4-0 at the break. Sale continued to dominate the midfield in the second half but were only able to put one more goal past the Deeside keeper with Savio Martins scoring his second making the final result 5-0.
