Glenn Moses arrived at Moor Lane in January 2015 as part of Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley's backroom team and had previously served as assistant manager to them at Ramsbottom United. Since then he has peformed the same role at Salford City and been a key part of the set-up that secured back-to-back promotions and almost made it a hat-trick at the end of the 2016-2017 season. Work commitments mean that Glenn cannot continue in his role, but here are his feelings about the past thirty months in his own words...
"Well, the time has come for me to bid farewell - its on to pastures new for me. I would like to thank the club's owners for the opportunity they have given me over the last two-and-a-half seasons. I'd also like to thank the chairman, the committee and everyone involved with the club behind the scenes. It's been a fantastic time for me personally and I've met and worked with some class people. I would also like to take this opportunity to say a massive thanks to the fans, who have been unreal - not only at home but especially on our travels.
A big thank-you is also due to the rest of the back-room team and the players I have worked so closely with - simply top class. Finally the gaffers - we've had six seasons together and four promotions plus a play-off semi-final and an amazing run in the World's greatest cup competition...not too bad, eh?
Finally I'd like to wish everyone associated with the club the very best of luck in the future".
A true gentleman and one of the nicest blokes in the game as well as a huge part of the team here at Moor Lane, on behalf of everyone associated with the club we'd like to offer our very best wishes to Glenn and his family.
