CLUB ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE USE OF PYROTECHNICS (SMOKE BOMBS/FLARES)

The club's position on pyrotechnics following the events at FC United

SALFORD CITY FC WISH TO REITERATE THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE NATIONAL LEAGUE'S CAMPAIGN TO REDUCE AND EVENTUALLY ELIMINTATE INCIDENTS INVOLVING PYROTECHNICS (e.g FLARES AND & SMOKE BOMBS)

During this afternoon's game at FC United a flare was thrown onto the pitch from the end where mainly Salford City supporters were gathered. Later in the game a smoke bomb was lit, again at the end of the ground where Salford supporters were gathered.

The level of support from our fans has been superb this season but the actions of one or two could attract sanctions and fines. The use of pyrotechnics at National League fixtures is strictly forbidden - the club are investigating the incidents this afternoon and if Salford City supporters are identified as being responsible then appropriate steps will be taken.

If anybody can provide information regarding these incidents please contact the club at salfordcitysecretary@outlook.com

THE VAST MAJORITY OF OUR FANS SUPPORT THE CLUB IN THE RIGHT WAY - LET'S KEEP IT LIKE THAT!
