Another week in which we hope to get a 2nd XV fixture played, however this week we will be at home, so hopes are high, as we welcome Tottonians 4th XV, who will travel to the island.
The importance of the 2nd XV is now more vital than ever, as Sandown & Shanklin compete on three fronts, there is a need to have as many players competing for spots in both the 1st and 2nd XV's, as it increase the level of competition and the quality that each player provides.
There will no doubt be a number of opportunities in the coming weeks for lads to prove themselves and step up in both sides, and with consistent game time, that transition will be smoother.
Kick-off is set to be 1500, and if you haven't notified Simon Swallow or Sam Rees of your availability then you need to do so ASAP!
