Here are some updates in relation to developments at the pitch in Carryduff.

The club has agreed to purchase a 20 feet x 10 feet shipping container new container which will be fitted with windows and a secure pedestrian door (as shown below). We plan to use the container as a small hospitality/admin area for the club.
We have secured the container at a very good price but some essential works will need to be undertaken first including stoning across to the entrance bank and gate area. These stones would also need to be held back by a line of kerb stones. Upon completion the entire entrance area will look and will be a lot dryer and more welcoming that at present. We hope to complete the entire project just before Christmas this year.

We have received some grant assistance towards the project, and an old friend of the club will help with some of the site works – but we are roughly about £1,000 short of the total project spend. We will attempt to undertake one good fundraiser this side of Christmas to cover the shortfall. However, if anyone knows of any businesses or individuals who could maybe support the club through a sponsorship or donation of £250, £500 - £1,000. This obviously would be a fantastic help to the club.

We are currently speaking with the Council to see if we could get permission to erect some form of advertising close to the entrance to the site, which could open up the possibility of us displaying local businesses hoardings for advertising purposes on the site. However, we are unsure if we will get approval, as they regard the pitch as “public, open space” and legally therefore the space cannot be used for any form of advertising purposes. But all avenues are being explored.

If anyone has any potential leads of sponsors, please do not hesitate to let Joseph know as soon as possible.
