SANTOS FC – GRAND QUIZ NIGHT – 23RD NOVEMBER 2011

The club is holding a Grand Quiz Night on 23rd November 2011 at 8.30pm in The Parador Hotel, Ormeau Road, Belfast to help raise money for club funds.

We are competing this season in The Daily Mirror Mid Ulster Football League 4th Division and are currently sitting 2nd in the table.

In the close season we introduced a lot of new members into the club including 6 Portuguese players, 3 Hungarian players and a crop of young players from the midnight street soccer league to help take the club forward over the next few seasons.

Unfortunately the financial situation for most of these players is not good at present, most of our foreigners are without jobs at present and this combined with the additional travelling that we are undertaking this season is putting a heavy strain on club finances.

We are therefore organising this one off Quiz Night as a means of trying to raise much needed club funds to help us through the season.

We have priced the tickets deliberately low at £3.00 each in the hope that we sell as many as possible while also trying to ensure a good attendance on the night.

We have enclosed 5 tickets and it would be a fantastic help to the club if you could help the club out by selling 5 tickets for us totalling £15.00. We have asked all our current players to sell 10 each and we are hoping that ex players may sell 5 each, if this is possible it would prove a great success for the club.

More importantly however we are using the night as a reunion for many ex players who have played for the club, the Santos “Legends” as they are known enjoyed a great run-out recently at Seaview and are working hard at keeping the many ex players in close touch with each other and the club in general.

We therefore sincerely hope that you can attend on the night and meet up with some familiar faces.
