Dave,
Thanks so much for your good wishes for my 50th last week – can you believe I am that old !! I did get your kind offer re promotion of the climb to your GO contacts. I have just sent the message below out to some friends at London Scottish and if you were happy to perhaps change
some of it and send it out to your contacts that would be fantastic. In return I will try and make it to the GO Festival as a thanks you to you and all the nice people who will support me.
All the best to you and Katie and look forward to seeing you soon.
Gavin
Gentlemen,
Apologies Gentlemen…..but Dave said he would pass this to Members of his Rugby email list……. but there is a reason for this which I am happy to explain. Having turned 50 last week it was important to me to mark this rather large event in my life by doing something positive and raising money for a cause which is very personal to me.
This has come in the form of climbing Kilimanjaro starting on Thursday 12th January and summiting on Tuesday 17th January. Our group of 29 is meeting tonight and we depart for Kilimanjaro International Airport tomorrow at stupid o’clock in the morning via Amsterdam. Please have a look at my just giving page www.justgiving.com/biggavs50th to see the cause I am supporting and to offer a donation. I really will be chuffed to bits if you could all do something as I am over halfway towards my
target of £50k and every little bit will and does help. 100% of what you kindly give will go direct to Funding Neuro with no expenses or hidden costs. With your help I will get to the summit next week. Thanks so much in anticipation and I do apologise to those of you who have already donated and a true heartfelt thanks from Diane and myself.
Yours aye
Gav
