With 7 wins on the bounce the Stormers took the short journey over to play Goole in a match that was full of team work and trys, to see the Stormers come away with an 8th successive win.

Goole’s starting kick was taken forward by Craze who when tackled continued to drive on before Horwell collected the ball and it went through the hands of Horwell, Conroy, Stevens Murray, Barratt O, Osborn and Dawson before a scrum was awarded to Goole, with the ball coming out in the home teams favour Conroy was in with a tackle and with a penalty awarded to Scunthorpe who took a quick tap and go Osborn made it over the line for the opening try of the game with Horwell kicking the ball over for the extras. Goole’s starting kick didn’t make it over the 10m and with a try awarded to the Stormers the powerful forwards made their presence known allowing Horwell to collect the ball and pass over to Conroy before a scrum was awarded to Goole tackles by Christer, Stevens and Osborn made sure they could make nothing of it and Hall collected the ball before popping out to Murray as he was tackled before the ball went through the hands of Barratt O, Conroy and Craze. Another scrum was awarded to Goole but the Stormers kept it together with tackles from Stevens, Lythgoe and Craze allowed Osborn to drive over and Lythgoe collected the loose ball passing to Ingram and then to Murray who looped around the Goole players to score a try again Horwells boot scored the extras. Goole’s kick was caught by Conroy who kicked and chased and although Goole collected the ball Dawson was quickly in with a tackle and the Stormers stole the ball back allowing Murray to take the ball down the wing to once again score with Horwell kicking the conversion. Goole’s kick was collected by Warburton then going through the hands of Dawson, Horwell, Murray, Ingram, Stevens and Conroy before a scrum was awarded to Goole who collected the ball and ran down the wing only to be stopped by the tackles of Craze and Ingram, Conroy kicked and chased almost to the line and then with a penalty awarded to Scunthorpe Horwell took a quick tap and go to safely deliver the ball over the line and then scored the conversion. Goole’s kick was caught by Lythgoe and passed through the hands of Conroy, Warburton, Dawson, Ingram Barratt O, a loose ball was protected by Hall and collected by Stevens who took the ball over the line to score this time Conroys boot scored the extra points. Goole’s kick was again caught by Lythgoe who ran the ball forward before passing to Craze who was tackled, protection in the ruck saw Lythgoe collect the ball passing to Horwell, Barratt O and the Barrett K who took the ball forward before being grounded by a tackle, Goole managed to steal the ball back but Conroy intercepted a pass and took the ball over to score another try. Goole were quick to respond collecting a loose ball from a scrum and running down the wing to score a try. Scunthorpe’s kick was chased by the Stormers but a knock on saw a scrum awarded to Goole the ball came out in their favour but a tackle by Christer saw Scunthorpe regain control and after some scrappy play a scrum was awarded to Scunthorpe whose powerful pack pushed over the ball allowing the ball to be collected by Horwell who passed to Stevens and then Christer who took the ball safely over to score with Horwell scoring the extras.

Scunthorpe took the kick to start the second half which Goole caught and passed but with Dawson in with a tackle Osborn stole the ball passing through the hands of Horwell, Stevens, Warburton who was tackled Horwell collected the ball from the ruck passing to Conroy and Parkin who took the tackle and the ball came loose Goole repeatedly kicked the ball until it went over the line and they scored a try. Once again Scunthorpe’s kick was caught by Goole but Conroy again intercepted the pass but with a scrum awarded to Goole they caught the Stormers napping and ran down the wing to score another try. Determination set into the Stormers and from the kick Christer and Stevens were quickly in with tackles allowing Craze to take the ball and make ground fighting through the Goole defence passing to Lythgoe who also made ground before being tackled Conroy collected the ball passing to Stevens then back to Conroy and to Craze who made the final few metres over the try line to score with Conroys boot scoring the conversion. Goole’s kick was caught by Stevens and passed to Horwell then to Conroy who dodged through the defence before passing over to Horwell who scored the try and the conversion. Goole’s kick was caught by Conroy who fought and dodged hiw was through until tackle saw a ruck formed, Horwell collected the ball and passed to Murray then it went through the hands of Craze, Osborn, Dawson, Stevens, Horwell and Christer before a penalty was awarded to Goole, whose kick to touch didn’t quite make the distance with Parkin keeping the ball in play and popping it up before the ball carrier was taken into touch. The lineout saw Goole in possession of the ball but the ball was stolen back by Conroy who ran in a try and scored the conversion. Goole’s kick was caught by Horwell who ran most of the pitch before passing over to Conroy who found the hands of Warburton who placed the ball safely over to score this time Ingram scored the extras. Goole’s kick found the hands of Hall who made some ground before being tackled and passing to Craze who made a big run down the pitch before the ball went through the hands of Conroy, Ingram, Barratt O. With a scrum awarded to Goole they took the ball out and opted to kick Barratt O collected the ball and was tackled Horwell picked the ball up passing over to Warburton then to Conroy who made it over to score. Goole’s kick was caught by Stevens then passed through the hands of Horwell Conroy, Ingram, Dawson. A Scrum was awarded to Goole who made a big push winning the ball and making some ground but were slowed by the tackles of Murray and Stevens. A penalty awarded to Goole saw them take a tap and go and make a break, it looked as though they were about to score following a driving maul but Scunthorpe managed to hold up the ball, but from the scrum Goole made a break and swept round to score just before the final whistle was blown
