It was the same ols story for the 4ths for thier away fixture against Sidley. On losing the toss they were asked to bat first on a damp wicket with little bounce. After a slow but durable opening partnership between Richard Cummins (12) and George Hayden (13) wickets fell at regular intervals with the scoreboard barely moving.Only u13 Deiniol Cummins(10)seemed able to play the bowling and defend his wicket with any confidence. The innings ended with another under par total of 62 from 45 overs.Jamie Ramsden (6-24)making the most of the conditions.
In reply Sidley lost an early wicket to Paul Brown (1-25)but with a couple of half chances not taken Jack Godden (39no) took his side to a comfortable 9 wicket win.
Only bright spots for Seaford being the spin bowling of Mason Webb and Deiniol Cummins.
