Weekly round-up

In Premier One the top of the table contest between Eden Grove and Bristol Manor Farm Reserves was a game of two halves. After a first half goal by Eden Grove’s Aiden Taynton the young Bristol Manor Farm side came out full of vigour in the second half; they soon started to dominate and eventually found the crucial equaliser just past the hour mark. Though both sides scuppered late chances to clinch the win neither manager is likely to be discontent with the point at this stage of the season. Frampton Athletic’s Mike Beake converted two first half spot kicks on the way to a 2-1 away win against Roman Glass St George Reserves, who themselves scored a penalty in the second half. They couldn’t find another, though, and remain 11th. Patchway Town Reserves prevailed against Oldland Abbotonians Reserves 5-3 away and Sea Mills, despite missing two penalties, ran out 4-1 winners on the road to Lawrence Rovers. Scott Chacellor’s double added to strikes from Trevor Humpries and Dave Greavies while Kia Holmes replied for Rovers. Meanwhile Olvestone United moved up to 5th after a 7-1 thumping of Made for Ever, who remain stuck on three points near the bottom.
