Go Seatonians

Welcome back to the weekly round up of all things Seaton Carew. Sunday 10th September marked a return to league action for all our teams.

Our senior teams met each other in the Seatonian Derby in a closely contested game Seaton Carew FC were victorious 5:4 against a hard working Seaton Carew Sports and Social.

The Under 14's Lions made a great start to their campaign with a resounding 4:2 victory away to Kader FC. Staying with the Under 14 age group the Tigers made a fantastic start with an impressive 11:1 victory at home N&S Ancients.

The Under 11 Lions travelled to Greatham for their league opener, in a tough encounter the boys applied themselves well to run out 6:2 winners.

The Under 17's made a great start to their season with a 2:0 victory away to Great Ayton.

Our Under 10 Lions travelled to newly promoted Newton Aycliffe, they were soon under pressure after falling behind. However these boys showed real spirit and determination to turn it around to eventually run out 4:2 victors.

Air was a home start to the campaign for the Under 13 Tigers missing several players due to holidays a tricky fixture vs Cleveland Juniors was never gonna be easy. They fell behind early and 0:3 at half time this tie looked over, that however wasn't the case as the boys showed real grit and determination to come back from the dead to salvage a 4:4 draw.

History was made on this day as the Under 13 Lions became the first team to compete in the TJFA, RFYL and Pinpoint League when they entertained Throckley Magpies. The boys made sure the day was a one to remember with a comfortable 3:1 victory.

The new Under 8's endured a tough first assignment against a very good Bishop Auckland Aces, this however didn't deter our newbies who ran out 4:2 winners.

A great first week for all our teams and tune in next week for my next weekly round up of all things Seaton Carew
