Seaton made the long trip into North Yorkshire for the TVSL fixture...

Despite the score line they where plenty of positives on show for the 2nd team at Northallerton, the work rate of the forwards was high in a game of intense pressure and the back line looked dangerous on the rare occasions it took the ball on.

Seaton started well coming off the line at pace and putting the experienced Yorkshire side under intense pressure forcing a few mistakes from the home side early doors. Northallerton manged to keep the ball for long periods before eventually going quick from a penalty and the powerful blindside running in close to the sticks. Seaton had to play Ryan Johnstone at hooker and Wayne Wild at tight head and this allowed a much more seasoned front row to take advantage of the set piece with a strong rolling maul to back it up.

Northallerton managed to run in two more tries before the seasiders managed to win some ball and break up field with the explosive skipper Shaun Mcbean crashing over from short range.

As the game drew on the tackling efforts of Paddy Frain , Michael Driver , Joe Robinson and Shaun Mcbean eventually wore thin and Northallerton started to make more clear inroads. Except in the channel of Graeme Callaghan who would of stopped a steam train had it come down his channel at 12.

Northallerton's 9 & 10 had began to take control of proceedings and allowed there backs to score plenty more tries backed up by the supporting back row players.

In all fairness if Northallerton don't win this league i'll be surprised, they where fantastic throughout and a stern test.
