A win for Tigers in a see saw game.

Bolton started the stronger team today, scoring 2 early tries and converitng 1. After several phases Sedgley were awarded a penalty 10 meters from the Bolton line. A quick tap saw Dan Lewis 'crash' through and over to score Sedgley's 1st try. Sedgley's 2nd try came from a pick up and a jinking run from the base of the scrum, Joe Camm scoring in the corner. Strong link up work between backs and forwards saw Adam Brimelow go close, only to be hauled back a metre from the line. From the resulting ruck, Joe Camm picked up and scored his 2nd of the day under the post, he went on to convert. Callum Monaghan scored just before half time taking the score to 23-13 to the Tigers. 2nd half saw Bolton start strongly again, scoring 2 tries, both of which were converted. From the restart Harry Cunliffe picked up well and went through the heart of the Bolton team to be tackled 10 meters from the line, passing to supporting players, finally resulting in a try by Michael Orrell. Bolton came back strongly once agin, resulting in a nail biting finish to this game. They pulled back the score with another try and conversion only to be thwarted by a try from Harry Cunliffe, Tigers 6th of the game. With time running short, Bolton had a final surge to make a differnce to the scoreline, but Eamon Loftus made a match winning tackle right before the final whistle blew leaving the final score at 36-33 to the Tigers. Sedgley Tigers 'Player of the Match' went to Liam Salwar. Congratulations Liam, a great game, well done.
