This was the 1st time we have played Heaton Moor so were unsure of what to expect. From the kick off Sedgley started off the stronger with some good defence and forward play resulting for 2 tries and 1 conversion by Joe
Camm. Heaton Moor had a long spell in possesion but were struggling to break a very well organised and disciplined back line. Heaton Moor eventually chose to kick long and from a rare mistake the home team were able to cross the line close to the posts for a well deserved try.
Almost straight from the restart Sedgley almost scored but were tackled into touch on the 22 metre line. But moments later Sedgley did score again but it was right on the touch line.
The second half started much as the first half finished with Heaton Moor have good possesion but unable to break the gain line. Sedgley ran in a couple more tries to take the game out of reach of Heaton Moor.
With the score line passed the 30 points difference and still 10 mins of the match left both sides decided to carry on with the game giving both sides much needed game time.
Well done to the lads and very well done to Heaton Moor. They 'never' gave up and were tackilng right upto the final whistle.
