This was the first trip of the season for Sedgley U10's to this west Lancashire club, following the wins Sedgley achieved at home earlier in the season.
Tarleton started off the brighter of the two teams, with good passing, and their keeping hold of the ball for long periods of the first half. However, Sedgley managed to easily soak up all the Tarleton forward pressure, dealing with any such forward runs by tackling or forcing into touch. As the half went on, Sedgley started to improve in confidence, and started to apply some forward pressure themselves. This lead to the only try of the half, when Sedgley drove forward, won a line out about a foot away from their try line, which Josh won, and he managed to force his way over for a 0 - 5 lead. Sedgley tried to score again, and got close to the try line, but a combination of Tarleton's stout defending and the half time whistle denied Sedgley doubling their lead. Half time: Tarleton 0 - Sedgley Park 5.
Come the second half, and it started in a similar fashion, with both teams having posession. Sedgley then had a scrum on the half way line, where Josh managed to get the ball, and ran one of his solo runs all the way from there for a 0 - 10 lead. Time started to run out then, as both teams cancelling each other out, until the final whistle blew for a Sedgley win.
Final Score: Tarleton Terriers 0 - Sedgley Park 10
