SEDGLEY TIGERS

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB PRESIDENT

It has been another eventful year again as the club moves and evolves its position as the best provider of Rugby both at senior and junior level in Manchester and the North West and to continue to be an integral part of the local community.

My first big thank you must go to all the coach’s, team managers and as always the parents and volunteers who give up so much of their time to ensure we have a vibrant club from the under 7s to the first XV.

As in any sports club it relies solely on the spirit and attitudes of the players who week in and out, come rain, sun, hail or snow, go out in the Claret and Gold with a smile on their face but with pride in their shirt and club, making Sedgley Park a very special place to be.

I thank all you players for all your great efforts this year. Brilliant

I also have to say a big thank you to all the volunteers who are the unknown and usually un-thanked few who are the bed rock of the club.

They give up hundreds of hours of their spare time to make sure the club and its facilities are looked after and are well resourced to ensure the standard and development of rugby is at its very best for all.

My thanks also must go to the fund raisers, and sponsors who without their help and support in these difficult economic days, rugby at this level and within our football loving area would be very difficult to sustain.

I thank you on behalf of the club and for rugby development in the North West and look forward to your continued support.

My final thanks and thoughts on behalf all of the committee must go to you all, the players, coach’s, parents, members and all our great supporters. I hope you have had a great year as we all look forward to an even better one next time out.

Thank you one and all. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Look after yourselves and I will see you all in 2012

Merry Christmas

Ray Austin
