Sedgley win one sided affair
This was the first trip of the season down the East Lancs Road to Tyldesley, where the home team decided to play Stockport A. So, instead of waiting, Sedgley played Stockport B.
Sedgley got off to a quick start when Josh received the ball from the kick off, ran to the left wing, and then ran all the way for a try and a 5 - 0 lead. The next try was scored by Aussie, after good support work from Josh. Aussie scored the next try, after getting the ball at half way, running to the wing, and powering his way through for a 15 - 0 lead. The final score of the first half was scored by Alex, who ran down the wing, and forced his way over the line for a 20 - 0 Sedgley lead.
THe second half started in a similar fashion, following a scrum on the left wing near the Stockport try line, Sedgley worked the ball to the right wing, Olly received it and ran over for a 25 - 0 lead. Max then intercepted a ball at half way, and ran in for a 30 - 0 lead. The next Sedgley try was scored by Kyle, who, following some good forward pressure, drove the ball towards the try line, where Kyle bundled it over for his first try of the season, and a 35 - 0 lead. The final try of the game went to Sedlgey, when Sam got the ball near the touch line, cut inside through a small gap, and dodged his way for a 40 - 0 final score.
Although Stockport did have some good players, they seemed to have no answer to Sedgley on the day.
