The first team are looking to bounce back from last weekend's disappointing defeat in the league when we travel back over the Tyne to Chester-Le-Street in a RFU Northern Division Junior Vase pool game.
Seghill have been drawn alongside Chester-Le-Street & Goole in a three team pool which features one level 9 representative from each of the Northumberland, Durham and Yorkshire unions. Our second and final pool game will take place at Welfare Park against Goole on Sat 4th Feb 2017.
As mentioned on previous posts, the competition provides teams with the opportunity to reach a Twickenham final if they are successful in their pool and then get through a QF (vs. a North West team) and SF (vs. a Midlands team).
The game provides a break from league fixtures and gives the team a chance to put right a few wrongs from last weekend which were discussed post game and in training on Tuesday. Seghill have a strong pool of players to choose from with only a few regular first team players unavailable.
