With only the required number of players, Selby looked in control of this match throughout, even with 2 wingers taking turns at playing in the scrum.
A perky start saw some fine backs play ending with Wright crossing over for a try they deserved. Townend converted easily. However, the away side reverted to type and allowed the home side to score 2 tries through some sloppy play.
The second half was dominated by Selby, with the home side rarely showing. This dominance nevertheless was not reflected in the score as some fine play failed to come to fruition with mis-placed passing and sound defending keeping Selby at bay. A late surge from MoM Dixon broke through the home defence and some neat passing would eventually see Thacker going over in the corner to secure parity in the game.
Richly deserved MoM performance by Dixon playing at 6, 7 and 8 but eventually ending up in his accustomed position on the wing kept the away side going forward. Credit also to the whole scrum from dominating throughout.
B&B 12 Selby 12
p.s. nice to see that some of the team are still taking pride in their appearance by wearing club tie and shirt.
