Last week, we received details from the organisers of the Rugby World Cup 2015 regarding the ticket allocations for our club.
There is quite a tortuous process which we have to go through to:
We attach the following documents for your attention:
If you wish to apply for tickets from Selby RUFC’s allocation, please follow the instructions below.
1. Deadline for you to email us with your ticket application is midnight on Sunday 20th April 2014 (only 12 days’ time)
2. Remember these matches are in September and October 2015, and NOT this year
3. There is a lot of administration for the club to do and we will be charging £10 per successful application – payable before 6th May 2014
If you do not supply all of the information we need with your initial application email, you will receive a reply saying:
“Thank you for your application.
Unfortunately you have not provided all of the information we require to complete your application”.
The detailed information that we will need from you will then be listed again (see sections 5 and 6 below).
If we do not receive this information, we cannot process your application.
4. Who Can Apply?
The Rugby World Cup Terms and Conditions do not allow anyone U16 to apply.
Only FULL VOTING members of Selby RUFC can apply.
The following categories of member are eligible to apply:
Each FULL VOTING member of Selby RUFC can apply for one PAIR of tickets to EACH Twickenham match.
For each Twickenham match, if the number of applicants from the Club Membership exceeds the Club’s allocation, we will have a draw of names out of a hat for that match.
If the number of applicants from the Club Membership is less than the Club’s allocation, we will contact the successful applicants and offer them additional tickets (but only if they have indicated they would like more than 2).
To apply, simply look at the match schedules and ticket prices and send an email to chris.guthrie41@gmail.com.
Make sure you provide the following information:
Chris will acknowledge safe receipt of your emails – if you do not get a response within 48 hours, your email may have been filtered as junk by Gmail’s spam filter and please get in touch by texting him directly or by Facebook.
We will collate everyones’ applications, have draws as necessary (for over-subscribed games) and then contact all successful applicants and arrange for you to pay the £10 admin fee.
We will then upload all successful applicants’ details onto the Rugby World Cup 2015 Ticketing System on 6th May.
At this point, successful applicants have now become Nominated Individuals and have a right to purchase 2 tickets.
You will then receive an email from the Rugby World Cup 2015 Ticketing System inviting you to log-on/confirm your registration which you must do before you can actually buy your tickets which go on sale from 16th May 2014.
Between 16th May and 30th June 2014, you will be able to log-on to the Rugby World Cup 2015 Ticketing System and buy your guaranteed tickets and it is only at that time that you will be able to choose the category of the tickets you want and they will be available on a first come first served basis.
6. Matches at all venues EXCEPT Twickenham
The process is slightly different because the club has not been given specific allocations to specific matches. Instead we have an overall ticket quota.
The club has a total allocation of 300 tickets to the 38 non-Twickenham matches.
Each FULL VOTING member of Selby RUFC can apply for up to FOUR tickets to any one of these matches.
The club therefore has 75 “packages” of up to 4 tickets.
Each FULL VOTING member of Selby RUFC can apply for one PACKAGE of up to 4 tickets.
If we have more than 75 applicants from the Club Membership, we will have a draw of names out of a hat with the first 75 being allocated a package.
If the number of applicants from the Club Membership is less than the Club’s allocation, we will contact the successful applicants and offer them additional tickets (but only if they have indicated they would like more than 1 package).
To apply, simply look at the match schedules and ticket prices and send an email to chris.guthrie41@gmail.com.
Make sure you provide the following information:
We will collate everyones’ applications, have draws as necessary (for over-subscribed games) and then contact all successful applicants and arrange for you to pay the £10 admin fee.
We will then upload all successful applicants’ details onto the Rugby World Cup 2015 Ticketing System on 6th May.
At this point, successful applicants have now become Nominated Individuals and have a right to purchase up to 4 tickets for the non-Twickenham games – this could be 1 ticket to 4 different games; 1 ticket to one game and 3 to another, 2 tickets to one game and 2 to another or 4 tickets to one game.
You will then receive an email from the Rugby World Cup 2015 Ticketing System inviting you to log-on/confirm your registration which you must do before you can actually buy your tickets which go on sale from 16th May 2014.
Between 16th May and 30th June 2014, you will be able to log-on to the Rugby World Cup 2015 Ticketing System and buy your tickets and it is only at that time that you will be able to choose the matches you wish to go to and indeed the category of the tickets you want and they will be available on a first come first served basis.
Really, really sorry it is so complicated and, to be honest an administrative headache that Chris and me could really do without, but we haven’t devised this contorted scheme.
If you have any questions, try the forum on the website (www.selbyrufc.co.uk) or Facebook, or email directly to ianw@redfern-travel.com.
Many thanks and best regards
Ian
