Cricket open day - all welcome

Selby Cricket Club are holding an Open Day on Sunday April 2nd at their Sandhill Lane ground. As part of the Nat West Cricket Force day members will be in attendance to get the clubhouse and ground ready for the start of their 150th anniversery year. Selby Cricket Club is looking for new players both young and old to join our ranks. We currently run two sides in the York Senior League and one in the York Vale League
.The first team get underway at Escrick Park in Division One of the Senior League on April 22nd when Heworth I are the visitors. The third team travel to Bishopthorpe II in Division Three of the Vale League. The second team start on April 29th in the Senior League Division Four (Ebor) at Escrick Park when Carlton Towers II are the visitors. We have a junior section who practice on Friday evenings with hopes of joining junior leagues in the coming years and these popular sessions start on Friday April 21st.
Members of the committee will be down at the ground so anyone interested in playing or helping out please call down at the ground on April 2nd between 11.30 am and 4.00 pm with refreshments available. This year we are celebrating 150 years so why not come along and join in the celebrations.
