Firstly I'd like to thank Brett Turner and Chris Smith for their remarkable support during what has been a stressful time for myself. They've been great with me and it's typified the family spirit at this club which has been wonderful to be a part of.

However it is not just Chris and Brett which have made me feel part of the Shaw Cross family. It's been all of you guys: the players, the bar and kitchen staff, the long time supporters, the coach drivers and so many more. And of course a very special mention to Bob and Benny who have also been fantastic.

Without you it would have been impossible for me to do my job - literally, this club taught me the game of Rugby League and now I'm a regular whizz at the whole thing. When I came here in February I'd never watched a game of Rugby League in my life and now it's become a staple part of my job.

This season has been a wonderful journey. Experiencing the highs and the lows along with the club has been pulsating, joyful and sometimes painful but that's sport for you and it's all part of the reason as to why we love the clubs we love and this is a club I truly love.

The core of this club is as good as it gets and it's been my pleasure covering you throughout the season and I feel my time with the lads has seen our relationship develop from colleagues to friends

My time covering the club has come to an end and it with a very heavy heart I leave. This has been a fantastic learning curve for me and, in an experience in which I went into it sceptical, I have come out of it incredibly thankful and much more knowledgeable. I have loved every moment of my time with the Shaw Cross Sharks and all I can say is thank you, Shaw Cross. You're a very special club.
