Sharks scrum half feels his performance vs Salford is his best to date

Weekend hattrick hero Jordan Anderson felt his performance against Salford City Roosters was his best to date for Shaw Cross Sharks.

Anderson scored three second half tries and assisted one as the Sharks scored 28 second half points to cement their place in the playoff spots in the National Conference League Division One.

His all-action performance was his best to date. Anderson said, "I think it was [My best performance for Shaw Cross] I didn't think I played that well in the first half but did my job nothing fancy.
Then in the second half I picked it up and managed to get three tries but the whole team has to take credit really because to a man we were brilliant"

The scrum half also assisted for captain Andrew Fawkes' try in the first half as well as putting in a series of superb tackles helping to stifle any offence that the Salford side could muster.

Shaw Cross ran out comfortable 36-12 winners but Anderson said that the score line did not reflect the nature of the game,
"It was difficult. We had to fight through the game because we've been inconsistent away from home and Salford went and beat a Premier Division side last week so we had to be on our game."

Anderson was heavily involved in the sharp, flowing rugby the Sharks played which was reminiscent of their brilliant home form.

During the week Head Coach Brett Turner had highlighted the danger of being complacent against the Roosters. Anderson echoed his coach's thoughts,
"It's easy to shut off when you play a side lower in the table. We need to concentrate all the time to get the win because we want to be near the top."

Turner's side still sit sixth in the table on 14 points however they welcome Normanton Knights to Shark Park at the weekend whom currently sit third. Should the Sharks keep up their remarkable home form and score a victory over Normanton they'll leapfrog them to possibly go third should results fall their way.
