Sheers turn up the heat with a 0-1 win at Leaders Worcester Park

6 months ago By Trevor Wenden

Saturday 6th January

The Sheers have now got within 6 points of leaders Worcester Park with this 0-1 away win at Skinners Field. The Park still have 2 games in hand on the Sheers as they drive on for the championship. The tragedy is that the Park along with Sheerwater, Staines Lammas who are 4th and also Farleigh (13th) are set to be relegated at the end of this season by the Football Association on not having the correct facilities.
Sheerwater are set to sort their problem out at a meeting with Woking Borough Council on Friday 19th January.
Worcester Park despite he cricket club happy to have floodlights can not get the situation in favour of upgrading what's necessary due to the Social Clubs not wanting to move forward.
Staines Lammas who recently moved back to the Lucan Pavilion from a ground share at Ashford FC on the basis of improving the social side of the club and the financial side of the club.
Farleigh Rovers. Massive chance of improving Parsonage Field but are held back due to not being able to get permission to erect floodlights.
