The Senior Colts and U17s had a tremendous weekend, with games against Hull Ionians and Barnsley RUFC respectively.
Both teams had made excellent starts to the season with a thumping win over Dinnington for the Senior Colts and the U17s fighting to a hard-earned victory over local rivals Wath.
This weekend followed much the same pattern, with the Senior Colts running out 43 – 0 winners over Hull Ionians! That is now a cumulative total of 119 points for and just 7 against from their two games.
There were excellent performances all round, with the team once again endeavouring to play exciting rugby and attack with pace and creativity. There were braces for Kareem Eissa and Harrison Vinall, with numerous other scorers amongst the ranks too. Great performance boys!
The U17s again had a much tougher encounter, with Barnsley RUFC pushing them all the way in a 22-15 victory for Sheffield. The team continually show resilience and togetherness in their victories. Although they are not posting the dominant scores that we are seeing from the Senior Colts, their wins are proving just as impressive in their battling nature.
Both teams continue to impress and the strength of Sheffield’s youth teams continues to be displayed week in, week out. Let’s hope for another impressive outing next week!
Well done lads!
