Sheffield Boys win Centenary Oxford v Cambridge Varsity Lacrosse game


Three former Sheffield Steelers players represented Oxford and Cambridge in this years Varsity Lacrosse game. Oxford, captained by 3rd year chemistry student, Tom Clohessy won this years game 12 - 0. 2nd year medical student, Matthew Beresford, picked up 5 goals in the win and the man of the match award. Clohessy also scored a goal. On the Cambridge side was medical student and former team mate Sam Bostock.

Sheffield Steelers Under 14 Boys book a place in the Flags Finals Sheffield Steelers Under 14 boys join the Under 16s at the Flags Finals at Rochdale 14/15th April. Well done lads!
Yorkshire Squad Announced Following Sunday's trial at Abbeydale, Sheffield leads the way with 10 players from the premier division teams Sheffield Steelers and Sheffield Universities selected to represent Yorkshire in the lacrosse British National Championships on May 5 & 6 in Manchester. Steelers players include brothers Dan and George Ievers and England international Ben Lyon in midfield with Rob Broomhead selected for his Yorkshire debut in defence and Ben Stringer leads the attack. To round off an excellent day Steelers' old boy, Alex Williams, captain of Leeds Metropolitan University, joins the 23 man squad in attack.
