Looking back at 2014/15

The 2013/14 season gained us promotion into 1A so the goals for the season were to finish the league in a solid mid table position and perform well in the cup.

With a number of new players and promotion, there was uncertainty amongst the team as to the standard of hockey in the new league. The first game of the season was against Lancaster, coming out with a convincing 8-0 win. The rest of our results were mixed with some surprising home wins thanks to Fortress Goodwin playing its part as well as some forgettable losses in the North East.

As well as playing at a high standard of hockey the girls continued to impress in the post match boat races achieving a 3 year unbeaten record.

After a successful year, finishing 3rd in the league, we have now been promoted into Prem B for the 2015/16 season.

'It was a really tough season but we got what we deserved through the promotion. We worked so hard as a group and it was a pleasure to coach them. I'm fortunate enough to have them next year too, where we are looking to push Prem A' - Will Hearne, Coach
