Women's 4th XI Season Review

Looking back at 2014/15

The women's 4XI have had a very mixed season this year, after being promoted last year and losing many of our key players as they went off to join the real world...

We started off slowly, with games against Leeds Uni and Leeds Beckett being narrowly lost, despite having the majority of possession. However as the season progressed we began to work better as a team, and the new freshers and current old girls linked up much better together - no doubt with thanks to all the team bonding we have on our Wednesday night club socials.

Elle and Izzy worked together wonderfully in the middle, constantly supplying balls out to our wingers to give us more and more chances in the D as the season progressed. And our star centre forward, Katy was always on hand upfront to get us out of trouble when needed - she'll be greatly missed next year during her year abroad.

This year we hope to fight even harder in the league, and want to aim to be pushing for promotion; something we can do with a new intake of freshers.

I look forward to meeting everyone, and catching up with all the returning players too!
