  Dear all,
  
  To all those who took an interest in my selection for the England Masters Hockey Team thought I would give you an update and a useful link to the results and information page.
  
  It all started on Tuesday 14th August at Canterbury Hockey Club with an opening ceremony and parade of the nations flags and official opening by the handing over of the official FIH Masters Hockey Association flag.
  
  We have a squad of 18 very fit 55+ players (inc two goalkeeprs). I gained my first 'cap' in the first game versus Scotland in a 4-1 win. Great start.
  
  I have just got back home after a thumping 10-0 defeat of Wales.
  
  No game Friday but a very testing game versus Australia at 8.30 a.m. on Saturday morning! Saturday is dubbed Aussie day as all the England teams play Aus that day in the various categories.
  
  Tuesday 21st is versus Germany and semi-finals and finals next Thursday / Friday 24th.
  
  It is a great atmosphere just like a tour to Holland without the excessive drinking!
  
  The results and schedules are posted on the net and appear to be updated very quickly via the following link ; www.tsresults.com and select 'Masters Hockey World Cup' from the dropdown box.
  
  I am spreading the Shefford and Sandy name wherever possible as I am proud to represent the club. Hopefully the clubs name will be posted on the England Hockey site soon.
