Shelford Ladies are looking for a Forwards Coach, to work alongside their current Head Coach and help develop their pack.

We are an established ladies side, competing in the RFUW Championship Midlands 2 league, who take rugby seriously while valuing the social and fun aspect of the game. The team has ambitious objectives for the coming season, and is therefore looking to strengthen its coaching setup.

The Forwards Coach would be responsible for:
· Developing forwards set pieces;
· Bringing some structure to forwards play in open play, in alignment with the overall team game plan;
· Helping develop contingencies, by training up more players in specific key positions (particularly in the front row);
· Providing support, guidance and feedback to individual players in the pack, with the aim of developing their individual skills – you will have to cater for a wide range of abilities and aspirations, from players new to the game to players aspiring to play at international level;

Alongside the Head Coach and Team Captain, carrying out team selection.

Experience:
· Ideally Level 1 or Level 2 RFU coaching qualification, or be prepared to work towards such qualification;
· Practical experience of coaching (it is not necessary to have experience of coaching women’s rugby).

Commitment:
· Training: minimum 3 sessions a month (you would not need to attend full session, one hour maximum) – Wednesday night 7pm-9pm;
· Games: home games as a minimum – Sunday afternoon.

If you are interested, or know someone who could be, please contact Bertille Gleize (Ladies Captain) – Bertille.Gleize@matthey.com
